One of the biggest problems, if not the biggest, around Internet Marketing, surely must be the whole question of TRUST. We used to take the old saying, 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy', as being a wise and practical piece of advice: we accepted that it would be foolish indeed to get caught out by the same ploy a second time. But this does not appear to apply to the world of Internet Marketing. There is so much Hype out there that very many of us seem to get caught, sucked and 'dragged' into the same holes over and over.

Having spent some 30 years working on development projects among the poor in Latin America, I returned with my family to my native Ireland in the early 90's. On retirement I had no personal pension and some 4 years ago I turned to the internet to try and start a business. But I had absolutely no business experience whatsoever.
To say it was a steep learning curve would be putting it mildly. I signed up for one program after another. All made promises but didn't deliver. All kinds of psychological tricks were used to get one to sign up for membership schemes and then there was no real hands-on, step by step support. Just mountains of "information" and webinars full of hype. It all left me confused and lost. Going from the highs of believing that, "Finally This Is The One" and then to the growing frustration afterwards.
But I found out that I was by no means the only one being sucked in by the hype! I was in debt and becoming more pessimistic about the whole business. Then I found an internet marketer who was definitely honest and trustworthy, a good marketer himself, but not a step by step teacher and not much into the tech side either. I became frustrated once more and knew I had to try and move on.
